About Us
The Nunavut Wildlife Resource Centre Coalition serves as a comprehensive information resource dedicated to Nunavut's wildlife, environment, economy, financial literacy, and the rich cultural heritage of the Inuit people.
NWRCC is dedicated to providing accurate, respectful, and accessible information about Canada's Arctic territory. We support researchers, educators, policy makers, tourists, and anyone interested in learning about Nunavut's unique natural and cultural heritage.
Our content draws from authoritative sources including the Government of Nunavut, the Nunavut Wildlife Management Board, Environment and Climate Change Canada, academic institutions, and Traditional Knowledge holders.
Our scope also extends to the practical realities of northern life. Through our economy section, we publish academic, fully-sourced guides to how lending, credit, and insurance actually function within Nunavut—grounded in the Consolidated Law of Nunavut, the Criminal Code, and federal financial regulators—so that residents and researchers can understand the financial systems that shape the territory.
We are committed to presenting information that honours the deep connection between the Inuit people and the land, water, and wildlife that has sustained their communities for millennia.
